Hot tub time machine is 
a comedy about, well, a hot tub time machine. It follows four men who decide on a winter escape to a former winter playground resort. When they find it derelict their despair is saved by the hot tub time machine, which sends them back to an earlier, livelier time.I don't know about others, but when I read such a title, I cringe. Unfortunately, this movie is a full time cringe. The plot is terribly forced and really made little sense. One sits and wonders why is this being watched. The acting is mediocre as is the whole movie.
There are funny moments, there's no taking that back. So there is that but its not worth sitting through this incredibly patronizing affair.
Rental if there really is nothing else, and you have read all your books.

Those who have watched Hot Tub Time Machine can't get enough of it. It is really hilarious. Talking about tubs, they must have covers to keep them protected.
